Service: Civil engineering
Engineering that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of physical and natural constructed environments, such as bridges, roads, canals, dams, and buildings is known as civil engineering or civil engineering technology.
Civil engineering is required for the construction of the infrastructure upon which we depend in our everyday lives. It is this infrastructure that includes the transportation systems that transfer us from one location to another as well as the water systems that supply us with safe drinking water and the sewage systems that keep our environment clean.
When calamity hits, we also need civil engineering services. When a storm or earthquake strikes, civil engineers are tasked with planning and building the emergency shelters and temporary homes that are so critical in the aftermath. They also contribute to the reconstruction of destroyed infrastructure, allowing life to return to normal as fast as possible.
