Project's Summary

The Greenline project represents a forward-thinking approach to family living, spearheaded by the innovative team at Šercel Švec. This above-standard family house has been carefully crafted in accordance with the general town plan, which imposes specific restrictions on the building's foundations. The design process took into account the orientation of the plot, the surrounding environment, and the need for a harmonious layout that facilitates communication channels throughout the property. The segmentation of the volume is not merely aesthetic but serves to connect the trajectory of the sun with the various functional zones of the house, as well as to maintain the existing trees on the site, which are integral to the overall design.

Thoughtful planning has led to a seamless integration of a carport and storage area, effectively relieving pressure from other sections of the property. This subtle yet functional addition also acts as a boundary, defining the street line along Robotnicka Street. The connection to the main structure is elegantly designed with a colonnade-pergola adorned with vines, enhancing the facade and blending indoor and outdoor spaces. The terrace and pool area are accentuated by a cantilevered section that creates a gentle slope, guiding residents from the house to the garden, where family life can unfold amidst various inviting alcoves. These intimate spaces vary in size, catering to the diverse needs of family members, interconnected by intriguing architectural rifts that promote movement and flow.

The interior layout features two above-ground floors and a basement, with the ground floor tailored as a 'day area' that meets high standards for comfort and spaciousness. Key amenities include a dedicated parents' apartment, a laundry room, and a study, making the residence adaptable for a couple's future needs. Notably, the visual connection between the exterior and interior is most pronounced in the day area, characterized by expansive glass walls that invite nature indoors. A winter garden further enhances this relationship, fostering tranquility and a sense of well-being throughout the home.

Access to the first floor is provided by an elegantly designed staircase that draws light from two levels above. This hall serves not only as a passageway but also as a conduit for natural ventilation, ensuring a fresh and airy environment. Children's rooms are thoughtfully placed alongside sanitary facilities and a game room overlooking the hall and winter garden, reinforcing the sense of openness and connection between spaces. The visual continuity of the first floor elevates the grandeur of the ground level, while a vegetated roof over part of this floor contributes to maintaining a pleasant climate year-round.

The basement is designed to accommodate a wine cellar, doubling as a maintenance base for the property. The Greenline project responds effectively to the investor's requirements while preserving the town's identity and integrating a prominent walnut tree into its design. This ecological and sustainable design philosophy, characterized by minimalist aesthetics enriched by natural elements, forms a solid foundation for this exceptional project situated within a larger building area.
