C Future Lab: A Unique Experiential Project
In July 2020, C Future Lab opened its doors in Shenzhen, China. Created by the QUAD Studio architectural studio, it is an innovative gallery that allows visitors to explore the future development of the city. It provides a platform for designers, artists, and thinkers to discuss how urban design will shape our ways of living in the future.
An Experiential Laboratory
C Future Lab is an experiential laboratory that integrates technology, art, and nature. Through a series of innovative installations composed of digital art, 3D printing sculpture, and green vegetation, it creates multi-dimensional experiences for visitors. By engaging the senses of sight, hearing, touch, and smell, visitors can experience the distinct design elements that shape the C Future City.
An Inspiring Journey
C Future Lab combines the work of the most innovative designers from around the world. It features digital artists teamLab from Japan, landscape consultant Patrick Blanc from France, industrial designer Ross Lovegrove from the UK, and China’s exhibition specialist, Motse. The result is an inspiring journey that encourages visitors to rethink the way they live.
A Platform for Innovation
As a platform to inspire innovative insights and encourage discussion, the functions of art gallery, co-working space, garden, discussion forum, and social gathering area are combined. Different zones are created with unique stories, working as sequential spaces of anticipation, inspiration, exploration, information, and discussion. C Future Lab presents an opportunity for a unique experiential project designed to showcase Shenzhen’s C Future City. Its aim is to create a laboratory for new ideas to be tested, shared, and discussed to define the path for the future construction of the ultimate city.
