The Lamar Johnson Collaborative architectural studio has designed an interactive and connective workspace for Reinsurance Group of America's (RGA) global headquarters. The 17-acre site will accommodate RGA's needs for flexibility and growth opportunities through two linked five-story office buildings and ample amenity programs.

Flexible Design for Different Working Styles

The two-building campus will provide office and amenity programs that enable appropriate solutions for RGA's different working styles and needs for future development. The proposed development includes lobby and amenity space totaling 405,000 square feet, with the parking and loading dock areas located in an attached three-level parking structure.

Sustainable Integration with the Landscape

The buildings are integrated into the landscape in a sensitive manner that minimizes the impact of the development on the local ecosystems. The outdoor spaces aim to maintain a neighborly connectivity to the community, providing a variety of places for employees to connect, interact, dine and work in comfortable and convenient locations. The private 'backyard' consisting of a restored woodland and prairie landscape engages the site with framed views.

Clear and Easily Understood Access and Circulation

The arrangement of the buildings on the site provides a main entrance off of Swingley Ridge Road consisting of a formal landscaped arrival plaza that provides clear and easily understood access and circulation for visitors, staff, service, and emergency vehicles. The parking structure contains 1,412 spaces for guest parking, with two levels of below-grade employee parking and a double-height loading area.
