Panta Rhei: A Unique Bookstore & Café in Bratislava

Panta Rhei stands as a hallmark of modern architecture and design in the heart of Bratislava, Slovakia. This innovative bookstore and café, a brainchild of the renowned AT26 architects, showcases a stunning blend of form and function. The project commenced in October 2014 and was completed in 2015, marking a significant milestone in the architectural landscape of the region. The design utilizes cheapwood construction panels, which not only emphasize sustainability but also create an inviting atmosphere for book lovers and café enthusiasts alike. With an impressive floor area of 465m², this establishment is strategically divided into a 328m² bookstore and a 137m² café, ensuring a spacious yet cozy environment for its visitors.

The design philosophy behind Panta Rhei was to maintain the friendly and approachable essence of a bookstore while enhancing its operational efficiency. AT26 architects, led by a talented team including Branislav Loskot and Peter Kukučka, aimed to redefine the customer experience through thoughtful architecture.
