Project's Summary

The MRTS company office, designed by Arch Group, stands as a testament to modern architecture that seamlessly integrates nature and technology. Located in the heart of Moscow, this innovative workspace was conceived by renowned architects A. Goryainov, M. Krymov, I. Cociuc, D. Fish, and A. Zubkov. Completed in 2015, the office spans an impressive 2360 square meters, reflecting the essence of MRTS's commitment to preserving the environment while advancing its capabilities in the construction of subsea technical facilities for oil and gas pipelines.

At the core of the design philosophy is the transformation of traditional office layouts into a vibrant, open space. The architects focused on creating an atmosphere that promotes collaboration and creativity, moving away from the conventional segmented office spaces. By employing a harmonious blend of natural elements and manmade materials, the design captures the duality of the natural world and the technological advancements made by MRTS. The use of contrasting colors and textures serves as a visual narrative of this relationship, with yellows symbolizing nature and blacks representing technology.

Upon entering the office, visitors are greeted by a bright lift hall that sets a dynamic tone for the entire workspace. The walls, clad in yellow stemalite, are complemented by a continuous line of built-in lamps that extend from the floor to the ceiling. This clever lighting design reflects off the glossy surfaces, creating an inviting and lively ambiance. From this central hub, employees and guests can easily access the offices of MRTS Engineering and MRTS Holding, promoting fluid movement within the workspace.

The MRTS Engineering area features a striking Corian reception desk, accompanied by a wall of perforated metal panels that evoke bubbles beneath the water's surface. Each open space is uniquely designed; the largest area spans 480 square meters, adorned with bright-blue fitted carpet that symbolizes the sea. The innovative use of stabilized moss and corian in the design creates an organic feel, with desks resembling ships navigating through islands of greenery. Another open area utilizes hexagonal patterns in the carpet design, drawing inspiration from nature while emphasizing precision and rationality.

MRTS Holding showcases a sophisticated reception area where light plays a pivotal role in enhancing the aesthetic. The combination of white and black glossy MDF panels, along with ceramic granite featuring a wood pattern, creates a warm yet modern environment. The meeting room continues this theme, featuring a white corian desk paired with an island of stabilized moss. This vivid and multifaceted design encapsulates MRTS’s modern approach to business, showcasing a deep respect for both nature and the technologies that shape our future.
