Project's Summary

WOOD-SKIN, an architectural studio, has recently collaborated with the renowned Parisian brand of high fashion accessories, Longchamp, to create two stunning installations at their global headquarters in Paris, France. These installations have transformed the space into a visually captivating environment that perfectly showcases Longchamp's exquisite products.

One of the installations can be found in the window display along the famous Champs Elysées. Here, two Tailor Made volumes, coated in a sleek white laminate on top of an opaque black MDF core, effortlessly catch the eye against the backdrop of the sinuous product displays. This clever contrast adds a touch of modernity and elegance to the overall aesthetic, making a bold statement to passersby.

Step inside the store, and you'll be immediately drawn to the center of the shop, where a mesmerizing flying drapery takes center stage. This drapery, resembling a delicate fabric, gracefully wraps around the displayed products, showcasing them in all their beauty. The drapery, with its captivating turquoise color, is achieved using three Mesh Sheets featuring the striking Digital A pattern. This combination creates a contemporary and graceful landscape of mesmerizing reflections, intricate patterns, and captivating lights.

The overall effect of these installations is truly remarkable. They effortlessly blend art, design, and fashion, creating an immersive experience for customers that perfectly captures Longchamp's brand essence. The use of materials such as laminate on okumè and the innovative techniques employed by WOOD-SKIN result in a harmonious fusion of craftsmanship and technology.

Longchamp's collaboration with WOOD-SKIN in these installations showcases the brand's commitment to innovation and its constant pursuit of excellence. By pushing the boundaries of design and architecture, Longchamp continues to captivate the fashion world with its unique and memorable displays. These installations serve as a testament to the brand's dedication to providing its customers with an unparalleled shopping experience.

In summary, Longchamp's collaboration with WOOD-SKIN has resulted in two extraordinary installations that have transformed their Parisian headquarters into a breathtaking space. The contrasting Tailor Made volumes in the window display and the captivating flying drapery inside the store create an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication that perfectly complements Longchamp's high fashion accessories. With their innovative use of materials and techniques, these installations showcase Longchamp as a brand that consistently pushes the boundaries of design and delivers a truly immersive experience for its customers.
