Project's Summary

Da Grill is a striking example of modern architecture, nestled in the heart of Mogylev, Belarus. This innovative takeaway restaurant showcases how thoughtful design can overcome spatial limitations. With a total area of just 40m2, the project encapsulates a vibrant dining experience while maximizing efficiency, making it a perfect fit for the bustling urban environment.

The design of Da Grill revolves around the integration of a full-size industrial grill within the small space. Our team at Silent Architecture faced the challenge of incorporating seating and a waiting area without compromising on functionality. We chose to apply a fireproof diatomite plaster throughout the interior, featuring a warm terracotta wash that not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also ensures safety in a cooking environment.

Soft curved volumes define the layout, allowing the grill and its components to blend seamlessly into the overall design. This fluidity creates an inviting atmosphere, making each visit to Da Grill not just a meal but an experience. The strategic placement of the grill ensures that patrons can appreciate the cooking process, fostering a connection between the kitchen and the dining area.

To maximize storage and organization, we implemented an open shelving system along the wall leading to the kitchen. This design choice not only optimizes the limited space but also serves as a dynamic display area for culinary tools and ingredients. Custom light fixtures and metal wall-mounted decorations add character to the restaurant, while neon art pieces infuse a contemporary twist, attracting the interest of passersby.

In summary, Da Grill is a testament to the power of architectural ingenuity in creating functional yet beautiful spaces. It stands out as a beacon of modern design in Mogylev, catering to the growing demand for quick, high-quality dining options. The careful consideration of materials, layout, and decor reflects our commitment to excellence in architecture and the culinary experience.
