Eurasia Tower
Project's Summary
Eurasia Tower, an iconic skyscraper in the heart of Moscow, stands tall at 309 meters, making it the tallest steel-based skyscraper in Europe. Completed in 2017, this architectural marvel is part of the Moscow International Business Center, known as Moscow-City. Designed by the renowned American architectural firm Swanke Hayden Connell Architects, the tower's unique steel construction sets it apart from the predominantly concrete structures that surround it, showcasing a bold vision for modern urban architecture.
The design of Eurasia Tower masterfully blends classical and contemporary architectural styles, creating a visually striking profile against the Moscow skyline. With a total floor area of 207,500 square meters, the tower is a significant landmark in the city. Its impressive three-story podium is not only a structural base but also a vibrant hub featuring a fitness center and various retail shops, enhancing the convenience and lifestyle options available to its occupants.
Within the tower, the lower 43 floors are primarily dedicated to office spaces, covering around 85,000 square meters. Many of these offices are occupied by VTB, one of Russia's largest banks, underscoring the tower's importance within the financial sector. The strategic location of Eurasia Tower in Moscow-City positions it as a key player in the commercial landscape, attracting businesses and professionals seeking a prestigious address in the capital.
Above the office levels, the tower offers 149 luxurious apartments starting from the 46th floor. These high-end residences encompass nearly 27,000 square meters, providing breathtaking views of Moscow and exceptional living conditions. This mixed-use approach not only caters to business needs but also presents a lifestyle opportunity for residents who wish to live in proximity to their workplaces, fostering a dynamic community within the skyscraper.
The architectural significance of Eurasia Tower is further highlighted by its public spaces, designed by architect Sergey Estrin and completed in 2015. The entrance zones and lobbies reflect a concept called 'Forest Symphony,' which transforms these areas into a sunlit forest oasis amidst the urban landscape. This innovative design prioritizes a human-centric approach, creating inviting and serene environments that offer respite from the bustling city outside.
Eurasia Tower is more than just a skyscraper; it represents the ambitions of Moscow's urban development and its aspiration for architectural excellence. The completion of this project marked a milestone in the evolution of the city's skyline, reflecting not only the economic strength of Russia's capital but also its commitment to embracing modern design principles. As a symbol of progress, the tower stands as a beacon of what the future holds for Moscow's architectural landscape.
