Seamlessly Blending Interior and Exterior: Sea View Residence in Zichron Yaakov by Witt Architects
Project's Summary
Located in Zichron Yaakov, a beautiful plot of approximately 1500 sqm has been transformed into a new home for a family with three children. Situated in a prime location, the property boasts stunning views of the sea and the Rotchild resort. The owners had a vision of seamlessly integrating the interior and exterior spaces, allowing them to connect with the surrounding landscape and enjoy the children's activities in the garden and pool.
To enhance the connection with the breathtaking views, a stone structure with decorative openings and a wide Pergola structure was constructed on the side facing the sea. The Pergola features a stone column that harmoniously blends with the stone structure, serving as the designated dining area. The tiled roof appears to float above the stone structure, creating a sense of intrigue and separation that is bridged by a glass vitrine. This rooftop space has been cleverly designed to house the parents' bedroom, while being supported on the opposite side by the bedrooms within the main residence.
The floating roof design not only adds a touch of architectural elegance but also establishes a strong link between the interior and the exterior, seamlessly connecting the home with the garden and pool. The choice of finishing materials and construction openings reflects the traditional building style prevalent in Zichron Yaakov, adding a sense of authenticity and charm to the overall design.
The Sea View Residence, a project by Witt Architects, showcases their expertise in creating spaces that embody both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The architectural studio has successfully brought the owners' desire for a closer relationship with the landscape and the view to life. This stunning home serves as a testament to the seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, offering a harmonious retreat for the entire family to enjoy.
In summary, the Sea View Residence in Zichron Yaakov is a testament to the skill and creativity of Witt Architects. By building a stone structure with decorative openings and a wide Pergola, the architects have successfully bridged the gap between the interior and exterior spaces. The floating roof design adds a touch of elegance, allowing for a stronger connection with the surrounding landscape. With its traditional finishing materials and construction openings, this residence perfectly blends into the scenic beauty of Zichron Yaakov.
