The architectural concept of Riverside features a two-floor design with a minimized footprint, ensuring that the building occupies as little land as possible. The ground floor is designed as an open-space area that flows into a loft, creating an inviting atmosphere filled with natural light. This thoughtful layout not only optimizes the use of space but also encourages the flow of air and warmth, essential for an enjoyable living experience throughout the year. The integration of communications and serving spaces into the living units further enhances the efficiency of the design, making it suitable for a family of four.

To address ecological concerns, the foundations of Riverside are innovatively based on earth boreholes, which help to reduce the structure's environmental footprint. The design also features a covered terrace and expansive glass surfaces that facilitate seamless visual communication between the interior and exterior spaces. This connection encourages occupants to engage with the natural surroundings, fostering a sense of tranquility and harmony with the riverbank. The compositional axis of the cottage culminates in views of the opposite bank of the river, creating a breathtaking visual experience.

The building's structure is crafted from wooden CLT panels, which not only provide strength but also enhance the aesthetic appeal of both the interior and exterior. The roof and upper facade are protected by an offset construction of wooden lamellas that serve dual purposes: controlling indoor temperatures and safeguarding the roof from excessive sunlight. This design element contributes to the building's energy efficiency, ensuring rapid heating and stable temperatures during both summer and winter months.
