Project's Summary

The Residential complex MAY, developed by DNK ag, stands as a beacon of modern architectural design in МО, Russia. This project encapsulates a thoughtful planning scheme that emphasizes low-rise development, consisting of 3 to 5 floors. The design promotes a harmonious blend of private and public spaces, ensuring that residents enjoy both comfort and community engagement. The centerpiece of this complex is a pedestrian boulevard that seamlessly connects a small square adorned with charming cafes and shops, a kindergarten, and an elementary school.

One of the standout features of the residential complex MAY is its clear zoning that distinguishes private spaces from public areas. Cozy courtyards free from vehicular traffic are complemented by front gardens, balconies, terraces, and playgrounds designed for the exclusive enjoyment of residents. In contrast, the public zones are elegantly framed by low-rise buildings, fostering a welcoming atmosphere. This thoughtful delineation of spaces not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also nurtures a sense of community among residents.

The architectural diversity within the complex is evident through the four distinct types of houses, ranging from economy to business class. While the facades share a common design ethos and material palette, each building type showcases unique features that contribute to the overall character of the area. This careful attention to variety ensures that the residential complex remains vibrant and avoids monotony, creating a visually stimulating environment for its inhabitants.

The innovative use of diverse relief in the landscape allows for raised basement levels and an array of block silhouettes, adding depth and interest to the overall design. Residents of the first floors are granted private exits to charming front gardens, personal terraces, and designated plots of land, enhancing their connection to nature. The principles guiding this project are rooted in creating a comfortable and friendly human scale, making the residential complex seamlessly integrate into its natural surroundings.

Inspired by North European housing development typologies, the Residential complex MAY fosters an intimate, human-scaled environment where urban life coexists harmoniously with nature. This project embodies the ethos of modern living, with its commitment to beautifying public spaces and promoting car-free private yards. Every building is designed to immerse its occupants in nature while providing breathtaking views, ensuring that residents can enjoy a balanced lifestyle amidst the urban landscape.
