Harmonious Integration of Raw Materials & High-Tech Elements: YtÅ's Media Room Design

At YtÅ, our philosophy revolves around the essence of materials, the rationalization of resources, and the optimization of elements in our projects and environments. Recently, we had the opportunity to bring these concepts to life in a remarkable library project created by our architectural studio, Yta Arquitetura Design e Construção.

This media room embodies our core principles by seamlessly integrating high-tech elements with raw materials, thereby creating a harmonious dialogue and balance. The space is a composition of various layers, each adding its unique touch to the overall design. The concrete base, wooden shell, and metal wrapping are all exposed, allowing their individual characteristics to shine while working together in perfect harmony.

The certified pine wood boards, serving as the main character in this space, gracefully flow throughout the room, folding and unfolding themselves to wrap around the books in their original medium. This design concept symbolizes the cyclical nature of materials, as they return to their origins, creating a visually striking and thought-provoking display.

Technology plays a crucial role in this media room, enhancing the user's experience and putting them in control of their environment. Through a user-friendly tablet interface, individuals have the power to manage audio, video, lighting, temperature, and safety systems. Additionally, the tablet enables seamless online navigation, connecting users to the vast resources of the digital world.

Amidst the modern technology, we have intentionally preserved vintage elements within the space, paying homage to the analogic era. These elements serve as a reminder of the past while coexisting harmoniously with the present. Books and magazines, within arm's reach, remain a cherished part of this media room, as we firmly believe in their irreplaceable value.
