Christophe Rousselle Architecte - Innovative Architecture & Urban Design
About the company
Christophe Rousselle, a Paris native born in 1976, first attended the Marne-la-Vallée Ecole d'Architecture before moving to Chile to attend the Catholic University of Chile's School of Architecture. He spent two years working at Jean Nouvel's design studio in 2003. In 2004, he graduated with the highest honours and opened his own business in Paris.
In recognition of his talent, he was awarded the Nouveaux Albums des Jeunes Architectes by the Ministry of Culture in 2006. Since then, Christophe Rousselle has established himself not only as a distinguished architect but also as a prominent speaker at conferences, exhibiting his artistic work and being featured in various publications across the architectural world.
The architectural and urban planning firm of Christophe Rousselle, founded in 2004, is known for its innovative approach and a strong focus on projects in France, Asia, and Latin America. Rousselle's design philosophy centers around the concept of 'free volume,' which allows him to create unique aesthetics that challenge conventional architectural boundaries.
His notable projects include 'Variacion' in Santiago de Chile and the Cim Béton Tower in Grenoble, where the integration of moving volumes has become a hallmark of his design style. Rousselle has gained recognition for his work on urban densification and high-rise construction, continually pushing the envelope to redefine the urban landscape.
The firm has recently secured significant tenders, such as a university building set in the picturesque hills of Corte, an innovative primary school inspired by Geneva, a uniquely designed gymnasium in Saint-Nazaire, and an office tower in China featuring a stunning rooftop garden. Each project is approached with a commitment to sustainability and environmental harmony, ensuring that the designs respect the surrounding context and contribute positively to the community.
