For Michele De Lucchi, the goal of his firm's philosophy is to establish a constant dialogue between architectural thought, industrial design, and worldwide communication. Over the course of more than four decades of labor, Michele De Lucchi's worldwide expertise has bolstered this transversal approach.

A multicultural and interdisciplinary environment has been maintained from its inception in the early 1980s. Italian and international institutions, public and private organizations, corporations, and people have all contributed to in-depth studies of modern society, particularly the role that industry, crafts, technology, and nature play in shaping our lives.

An international team of architects and designers forms the company, which has a preference for cooperation. For its work, it does not limit itself to only the aesthetic components of design but instead considers the whole process from analysis to idea to implementation, as well as the possible outcomes of future situations. Approximately forty people from diverse backgrounds and experiences work at the company's headquarters, dealing with items ranging from city planning to architecture.

In 2006, an Art Nouveau building in downtown Milan was transformed into a creative workspace and serves as the company's headquarters. Additionally, Michele De Lucchi's atelier-archive is located in Angera, where he conducts architectural experiments and maintains archival documents of his work.

Michele De Lucchi and four Project Directors, Nicholas Bewick, Alberto Bianchi, Giovanna Latis, and Angelo Micheli, are the driving force behind AMDL's operations. This year, the office received the ISO 9001:2008 certification for its architectural, urban, interior, and exhibition design work as evidence of a design striving for excellence.
