Hyperions: Revolutionizing Urban Living with Sustainable Architecture
Project's Summary
Vincent Callebaut Architectures, a renowned architectural studio, has unveiled its latest project, Hyperions, set to be located in Jaypee Greens Sports City, Greater Noida, New Delhi, India. This innovative development encompasses six multi-use timber and wooden towers that will redefine urban living and sustainability. With a total housing surface area of 119,582 m², Hyperions aims to provide a harmonious blend of residential, commercial, and ecological spaces.
The primary objective of Hyperions is to create a sustainable and eco-friendly community that caters to the needs of its residents while minimizing its environmental impact. Each tower will consist of 36 storeys, reaching a height of 128.20 meters, including rooftop and sky footbridges. The average size of each unit will be 85 m², offering spacious and comfortable living spaces for the residents.
The project's diverse program includes various facilities such as housing, offices, co-working spaces, fab labs, gymnasiums, and community orchards. These spaces will not only serve as places for work and leisure but will also promote a sense of community and collaboration among the residents. Additionally, Hyperions will feature phytopurifying lagoons, which will contribute to the purification of water and the overall ecological balance of the development.
One of the key highlights of Hyperions is its emphasis on sustainable agricultural practices. The project will incorporate agroecology, agroforestry, permaculture, aquaponics, and urban farming, ensuring a self-sufficient and green environment. Community food gardens will provide residents with the opportunity to grow their own produce, fostering a connection with nature and promoting healthy living.
Vincent Callebaut Architectures' Hyperions project is a testament to the potential of sustainable architecture in creating livable and environmentally conscious communities. By integrating multi-use towers, co-offices, housing, and various ecological elements, Hyperions aims to revolutionize urban living in India. This visionary project serves as a model for future developments, showcasing the possibilities of sustainable design in addressing the pressing challenges of our time.
