Seamless Private Park-Like Pool House Design

Clawson Architects, LLC, a renowned architectural studio, was recently approached by the owners of an adjacent property to create a seamless private park-like setting. The owners had acquired the property with the intention of merging it with their existing space to create a stunning pool house and pavilion. The team at Clawson Architects, along with a group of talented consultants, eagerly took on the project.

The main focus of the design was to study the interplay of light and space within the Pavilion. Different experiences were created throughout the day, but it was at dusk when the magic truly happened. The Pavilion, with its clever positioning and thoughtful design, allowed for the optimum display of light and transparency. As the sun set, the pool hosted captivating reflections, while the Pavilion itself seemed to glow, becoming a small jewel within the landscape.

To ensure the utmost comfort and convenience, the pool house was equipped with a range of amenities. An air-conditioned lounging area with a television and kitchen/bar provided the perfect spot for relaxation. A laundry and changing room, along with a private bathroom and shower, catered to the needs of the guests. Additionally, an outdoor shower and a spacious basement were included for storing pool toys and equipment.

The contemporary design of the Pavilion beautifully combined various materials, creating a harmonious blend of textures. Rich woods, stainless steel, and concrete were juxtaposed with marble, glass tile, and natural stones. The cedar shingles, reminiscent of the main house, subtly blended into the landscape. However, it was the soaring glass windows and doors that truly stole the show, flooding the space with an abundance of natural light and offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The bead board ceiling and exposed structure added to the sophisticated modern design, creating an atmosphere that was both calm and cheerful.

The ecstatic owner of the pool house exclaimed, "I feel like I am transported—on vacation—every time I open the doors and enter the space." Clawson Architects, with their expertise and attention to detail, had not only met but exceeded the client's expectations. The seamless integration of the adjacent property had resulted in a pool house and Pavilion that not only offered a luxurious and inviting space for the owner's family and friends but also provided a sense of escape and tranquility. With this project, Clawson Architects had once again showcased their ability to create stunning architectural designs that seamlessly blend with their natural surroundings.
